Magnifier

In Windows XP you can:

1) Put a Magnified section of the screen in the top inch of the screen. It will show what your mouse points at.

2) Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - Accessibility - Magnifier . It will just start!

 

Reader

In Win XP this is called Narrator. It reads out what you type letter by letter. It also reads out pages letter by letter:

1) Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - Accessibility - Narrator . It will just start!

nb - It's not very good at reading web pages though!

 

On-Screen Keyboard

Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - Accessibility - On Screen Keyboard. Off you go!

Web Spell Checker

Mozilla Firefox - it's built in!

1. See menu: Tools - Options - Advanced - General.

2. Click on box: Check my Spelling as I type.

3. Restart Firefox. Try it out.

4. Right Click on any word underlined in red to choose from alternatives. Voila!

 

Internet Explorer

1. Download iespell http://www.iespell.com/download.php

2. Downloads to Desktop, double click to install.

3. Close and restart Internet Explorer.

4. After typing on a page, Right-click for menu, then Check Spelling. Use box to find alternatives.
